Different Safari’s…….

 Safari simply means “journey” in Swahili.  We all take safari’s…..all are different and individualized.   I am on my safari at the hospital with the goal of assisting all those working there to be able to perform better services and to assist the patients and families with their needed care as well.  With the Oklahoma Christian Students here, my safari changes a bit so that they can have a positive safari here and learn many things from the hospital.  And on occasion, I am blessed with the opportunity to participate in an animal safari like I was this past weekend with the girls. Not our will but God’s Will…..

 It has been a couple of weeks since I have updated you on our work here.  Many things have been happening.  Some good, some not so good but all is under God’s control. Baby Promise was admitted to the hospital about 13 days ago due to decreased feeding and malnutrition.  We felt we needed to get some weight on him so he would be more able to tolerate surgery.  He had thrush in his mouth and his throat.  We started antibiotics and increased his feedings.  After these 13 days, he still had not gained weight.  Then on Wednesday night, our Baby Promise died.  On Wednesday, we saw some changes in his condition.  One of the doctors, myself and one of the nursing students talked with mama and Bibi about his declining health and we prayed for him.  If you remember, mama and Bibi are new Christians.  When I got to the hospital Thursday morning, I went straight to check on him and learned he had pasted.  We arranged for Bibi to com...
